At 12:12am on Friday 12/13, Beyonce shocked the world by releasing her self entitled visual album. This is her fifth solo album and it is available exclusively on iTunes. BEYONCÉ is packed with 14 new songs and 17 videos, which were filmed in different locations around the world.
“I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it. I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There’s so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans,” said Beyonce.
BEYONCÉ was released in an innovative way, with all the songs and videos sold as a cohesive set. It was an ingenious way to prevent the album from being leaked and for fans to be able to experience the full body of work at once.
